Wednesday, August 21, 2002I am no longer a washington resident. That's right, I am now living in sunny southern california at harvey mudd college. And I'm bored. Us football players are the only ones on campus right now with free time (all four of us) so we've been walking around trying to distract people who have actual work to do and such. It'll probabaly get better tomorrow when we start real practice. My current maxs are: bench- 230 (I know, I know, it is pathetic), clean-235, 20 yard shuttle- 4.66 sec. vertical jump- 26 inches. I'm doing squats later.I went to Disneyland before I came to Mudd, which was a great goodbye to childhood and living with parents. I had so much fun with my lil' bro Andrew. There was one great story I think I should share with you: My brother, my Mom and I were eating lunch at the "Soap Opera Bistro" in Disney's California Adventure, which is basically a resturant done up to resemeble famous sets from various soap operas.. We were just about to finish up when this guy in a elegant bath robe (he looked like a generic rich guy), snuck up behind my mom and set his hand on the back of her chiar. Then he, quite loudly, annouced to the guy in scrubs, "Look, she doesn't even look at me anymore, she just ignores me." It was an audience partipation skit that was focused entirely on my mom, one of the most nonparticipation people I know. It ended up that she was engaged the the rich man, married to a mexican guy named don carlos, the leader of a teen pop singing group called the spinnerettes, and kept surgeons locked up in her bedroom (which I believe might be true). Well it's time for me to go do squat testing, later everyone. Oh, and doing the drive from Bremerton to LA in less than 20 hours is a total bitch. .: posted by Topper 2:35 PM
