Saturday, November 22, 2003I have to add something before I go to sleep tonight: during awards the football team gives the player of the week on offense defense and special teams a tee-shirt, and then the player of the week gives the tee-shirt to another team member that helped them this week. Today Jeff Manasacro (sorry bout the spelling) won the offense award, and choose to give his tee shirt to me, because I "work hard everyday on both sides of the line." I then got what I think was one of the biggest applauses of the year. I don't know why the team cheered hard, but thanks guys. I made an interception on def, blocked the shit out of EVERYONE on off. It was great until Vinny Fazio, the great jackass he is, got pissed at the fact he was playing like shit today and decided to take out his agression on me. With a 15 yard head start (we have it on film) he cheap shots me in the back, totally lays me out and almost takes out Randy Deming's knees. I have NEVER in 12 YEARS of playing football seen such an act of unsporstman like conduct. WITHIN MY OWN TEAM. Right now I'm trying to convince myself not to try to blow out Vinny's knees tomorrow. At this point three scrippsie friends of mine come into the room, looking to hang out. I am of course accomodating and chat with them, but the rest of the guys remain oogling at the computer screen. Rather quickly, the scrippsies get bored with my company and start trying to gain the notice of the other players. They start mocking the pictures on screen, grabbing their bosums and leaning over substantially, then devolve into grinding with each other, and eventually lesbian kissing. Some how, no matter what it is I am doing, I fuck up. It pisses me off. In class I mess up on tests, in football I miss blocks and tackles, and espicially in relationships I mess something up.
