I was going to UW to visit some friends (Carly, Laura you're awesome. Clancy you're a stinker for not calling me but I forgive you) Anyways I got off the bus, asked someone where Hagget dorm is and found out I was on the wrong side of campus. Someone suggested I take another bus across campus, but having become used to living in Claremont my gut reaction was instantly to think "Campus isn't THAT big" and "aviod taking the bus at all cost." Now this would be an entirely reasonable line of reasoning in Claremont, but it is a little absurd in WA, as Seattle buses are really good and UW really is that big. Not only that I forgot to take into account a major difference between WA and CA: Rain. It was pouring at UW Thursday, torrential downpour, epic "time to build a boat" style. My coat soaked through, my pants were wet, my backpack (with change of clothing) was wet, the map of campus I had got wet and dissolved. I passed a duck while I was walking and even the duck gave me a look like "enough of this friggin rain. I'm sick of getting wet and I'm a DUCK." Eventually I do make my way to Carly's dorm and get inside. And then some guy bumped into me and didn't apologize so I stabbed him. Yeah. Stabbed him, right in the gut. Yeah.

Something I've noticed about CMC and CMC affilated girls: bad skin. For some reason it seems a lot of them have it. I wonder if the problems with girls at particular schools can be generalized and stereotyped....

It's that time again. I've been harassed enough to post. Let's see... what's new...
It's finals week, I think I did well on my History of Sci/Tech final (it was two essays) and passed the stems exam (an accomplishment...) Seriousaly, all professors who choose to unnecessarily obfuscate relatively easy problems and courses should be dragged out into the street and... well shooting them is a bit rough, but they should definatly be left there.
Two weekends ago was Stags vs. 1000 beers. 55 stagies participated and when all was said and down we downed 960 beers in 24 hrs. Not quite our goal, but there were also a good deal of uncounted beers. Regardless, it was quite a feat of human endurance. Lil Hib and Nick Piadiac (?sp?) were apparently still downing beers in Collins the morning after. That's dedication to the team right there.
After Stags Vs. 1000 beers was the Alumni Vs. Students softball game, also known as beer ball. I ripped all the skin of my left leg sliding into base. That wasn't fun. Its been two weeks and it is still a giant mass of scab. No one knows who won the game, but our Alumni are AWESOME. 3 kegs in 2 days for the dorm, and shelling out $20 per person in bar donations...
Also in the news: I'm working with our director of corporate relations on a bunch of learning disability stuff. Talk about a good contact to have, the guy knows EVERYBODY. At least outside of Mudd.
Still no job for summer. Anyone need something programmed?
Umm yeah, so the STEMS final is in two hours and I have slept yet. This isn't for lack of trying. I don't know if it is too hot in my room or I'm anxious (actually, I know I am, but I'm not sure that's the reason) or what, but I definetly haven't slept yet. Why is it the final I'm most worried about is at 9 AM on Monday, and is the only one that isn't a takehome? I'd be totally down if I could of taken this about 8 hrs ago. Oh well.
In other news: Caughey is in North Africa now, and Jon is probably headed to Iraq soon. Don't get shot or killed or anything guys.
Sorry about the shitty post, I'll try to be funny sometime soon.
