Tuesday, January 04, 2005Just sent one of my best friends in the world off to war. Another one is leaving in a week or so. For some reason, I didn't think it would hit me as hard as it is. Maybe I thought I'd convince myself that everything would be fine, or that it would be just like them going off to boot camp. I don't know. This shit was supposed to have ended with Nixon.I promised to write, but I don't know what else to do. I'll probably be guilt-ridden for not being there with them, but so it goes. Maybe SBIRS (sattelite I worked on) will save one of their lives. Regardless I'm going to miss them and pray for their safe return.
